Photos From the Artushi (Artux) Installation

Figure C2. Artushi. The recording setup at the bottom of the tunnel, located 22 meters below the surface. Chun Jo Hue is using the Palmtop to set up the DAS.

Figure C3. Artushi. The CMG-3ESP sitting on the pier, along with the local Chinese short period sensors.

Figure C4. Artushi. Entrance to the main part of the observatory. The GPS clock is located on the higher roof (just at the very top of this picture). Notice the white tube to the left of the door going from the roof to the ground: this was installed to protect the GPS cable, and extends from the roof a hole in a concrete cover to an air vent that reaches the full 22 m to the bottom of the tunnel. Thank heavens for 30 m cables! the air vent.

Figure C5. Artushi. As figure C4, with the whole crew pictured (except Xu Yi, who is taking the picture).
